In relation to NE (New) parts, many OEMs change their prices and availability without any notice to dealers or the industry. Therefore, through the REQUEST or RFQ indication, we ask that customers contact us for the most accurate price and availability.
In relation to SV & OH parts, the used parts aftermarket in the aviation industry is not an infinite supply. It is a dynamic, constantly changing market that is significantly affected by and susceptible to highs and lows in supply and demand. Therefore, although we attempt to, at times, we are unable to predict the exact moment when an item may be available. Once again, through the REQUEST or RFQ indication on our website, we ask that customers contact us for the most current and accurate price and availability.
Service bulletin 11 for the KI-256 reduces loading effects to the autopilot pitch and roll outputs. It is required in most installations where the KI-256 is used with the KC-192 autopilot computer Part Number 065-0042-15.
Negotiating the exchange price of a unit only limits the allowable repair cap for the core unit. Southeast Aerospace's exchange transactions are based on the return of economically repairable core unit. Once the core is received and evaluated, the core repair cost incurred by SEA cannot exceed 75% of the original exchange price. That is, it cannot cost SEA more than 75% of the original OH/SV exchange price collected from the customer. Therefore, when and if an SEA exchange price is discounted, there is a risk that additional charges may be assessed once the core is returned and evaluated.
According to Honeywell Installation Bulletin 385, KC-192 Part Number 065-0042-15 a direct replacement for any of the following part numbers:
065-0042-00 | 065-0042-05 |
065-0042-01 | 065-0042-06 |
065-0042-02 | 065-0042-07 |
065-0042-03 | 065-0042-09 |
065-0042-04 | 065-0042-12 |
The adapter modules used in the aircraft configuration have not been changed and function exactly the same exactly the same with the -15 computers. Click Here to download the Installation Bulletin.
When using the updated KC-192 -15 computer, check the mod status of the KI-256. If the KI-256 does not have Mod 11, then you may encounter alignment issues with the updated KC-192. Therefore, it is highly suggested (and necessary in some cases) to incorporate Mod 11 into the KI-256. KI-256 Service Bulletin 11 updates a PC board in the indicator that reduces loading effects to the pitch and roll outputs. The cost to incorporate Service Bulletin into the KI-256 is approximately $1000.
No, there are not different model computers that will replace the KC-191 or KC-192 computers. However, the -15 version of each computer replaces older, existing part numbers for each computer. Please refer to Honeywell Installation Bulletin No. 385 for reference.
